When clouds hang low, people say, “Oh, no. It’s going to rain.” 100{8b3a2f999ba59642dfe826ddd554f6c9ff0174d7b182d4f1913e29042ced5c7c} correct. It rains. Physical environments are factual on Earth. Your thoughts are different. Create a brain with positive switches and say it the way you want it.
“Don’t put your hand in the cage,” Mom yells, as she sees her son about to prod their bird with his little fingers. The big billed bird opens its beak, threatening on the other side of the bars of the cage. Mom turns back to her activity. Guess what her son does next?
“Ow! Mommy the bird bit me!” Tears fall. Little finger is held up for inspection.
“I told you not to PUT YOUR HAND IN THE CAGE,” Mommy says as she rushes over to kiss little fingers.
Our little bitten boy actually did exactly what he was told. We learn from our parents, and we teach to our youth. Is there a lesson here? Yes. Change your thought to bring you what you actually want, rather than the “Ow.”
Say It The Way You Want It
Consider some activity you are involved in. When the negative thought comes up, “I’m frustrated,” change it to a positive, such as: “This was frustrating at the beginning, but I’m happy to get it done.” You might want to look forward to what is possible to see in a near future, such as, “The car will run better than before when this part is replaced. I’m glad it is being taken care of, so I’ll drive with more peace of mind.”
You may have heard it before, but if you haven’t let’s get this said now: “Minds are listening and do what you tell them.” Negatives don’t register (i.e. not, don’t, I’m not going to, etc.). Instead, your thought orients you to what you end your sentence with after the not.
