SAMPLE:

Pediatric Coaching Video Book / Coach Youth

In coaching session Cat , Coach, sits with the Youth and establishes “desired outcome.” This coaching uses a series of actions and processes utilizing NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) or CBC (Cognitive Behavior Change) as well as Mindfulness techniques. The intention is at all times to create a safe atmosphere where a child can feel open to sharing.
This is a “short “ coaching session. It is not meant to be counseling or training for the child. A coaching session is open questioning that allows the child to reveal what they’re experiencing.
After this session, Becca, Coach/Teacher, sits with the Youth and asks in depth questions in regard to academic atmosphere and adult communication. (This segment follows Mini-Coaching Session.)

Mini Coaching

Definition: a session of 15 to 20 minutes can be a time for building a basis for building rapport, followed by a more extensive coaching session.
This session can be used for:

  • Establishing a relationship (trust) and building rapport
  • Determining goals
  • Setting objectives
  • Beginning communication process
  • Establishing what and where the gap in communication
  • Helping a child realized they have resources.
