Are you feeling down? Holiday getting to you? Need new perspective? Who do you know who laughs at life?
Comedians show us new ways of looking at life … and make us laugh. When we laugh, we feel better.
New Life Perspective
I searched for an inspirational comedian to inspire a new life perspective.
Richard Pryor popped up and I noticed that he passed away fourteen years ago … on December 10, 2005. Let’s honor him.
Richard Pryor came up from a challenging background; poor and surrounded by racial discrimination. Born in a brothel, he saw life differently. It was a hard beginning, and yet he found comedy a way to get through bad things in life. He also struggled with multiple sclerosis (MS). Yet, he continued to make people laugh. See the link below.

What is MS?
According to National MS Society, MS is :
“Damage to the myelin coating around the nerve fibers in the central nervous system (CNS) and to the nerve fibers themselves interferes with the transmission of nerve signals between the brain, spinal cord and the rest of the body.”
MS symptoms vary from person to person. They include: fatigue, numbness or tingling, weakness, dizziness and vertigo, sexual problems, walking difficulties, spasticity, vision problems, bladder problems, bowel problems, pain and itching, cognitive changes, emotional changes, and depression. More MS symptoms include speech problems, tremor, breathing problems, swallowing problems, seizures, and hearing loss.
When a person has symptoms like the above it’s challenging. What helps? Compassion, knowledge, laughter… a new perspective.
Humor is Healing
People come to me to help them feel better. I’m not a comedian, but I look for ways to bring humor into time with people. Humor is healing.
Clients with multiple sclerosis – also known as MS – come to us for sessions to improve their life experience through reframing and seeing a different perspective. You can change your focus.
There is more to your mind/body experience than you may realize.
Hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), NLP, and other tools give you a new perspective. Studies at the National Institute of Health have shown that hypnotherapy helps people deal with symptoms with MS.
Remember: you are the CEO of your body and mind. Take control. Enjoy the good and realize how the bad things grew strength, resiliency, and humor.
Richard Pryor said, “I had some great things and I had some bad things. The best and the worst. In other words, I had a life.”
Enjoy the life you are living.
Remember that humor and laughter are healing. Find comedians and funny stuff to help you. Remember that you are not your illness. You are more than you know.
When you think of the holiday, if you are feeling down, think of others.
